Meet our soloists for our forthcoming concert, Italian Warmth, on Saturday 26 November at 7.30 pm in Stockbridge Parish Church.

Soprano Margaret Ravalde returns to sing with ERCU after her appearance with us in May at the CPE Bach/Michael Haydn concert. She recently finished her Masters in Performance at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and this summer performed in the Scottish premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park at the Edinburgh Fringe. She frequently performs as an oratorio soloist and is regularly booked as a recitalist. 


Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Svetlina Stoyanova is in her first year of the Master of Opera course at the RCS. As well as performing in opera, she is a busy oratorio soloist, concert singer and recitalist, including recitals sponsored by Live Music Now Scotland.

Thomas Kinch, tenor, is a graduate of the RCS, where he appeared regularly on stage in recitals and operas and was chosen to represent the conservatoire in the Junior Ferrier Competition. He has also performed with Dorset Opera. Tenor, Thomas Kinch


Baritone Jerome Knox is the first Gleneagles scholar in the Alexander Gibson Opera School at the RCS. He recently made his solo debut at the Royal Albert Hall and was a soloist at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival; future engagements include Messiah with the Dunedin Consort in December.
