Jacek Kaspszyk is one of the eminent Polish conductors and since last September is the all-new music and artistic director of the Warsaw Philharmonic. This appointment follows an illustrious career over decades, including early debuts in Berlin and at New York Philharmonic, followed by London and residencies and appearances at the Philharmonia Orchestra and London Symphony Orchestra to name a few. Scotland featured over the years too with RSNO and BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.
Beethoven’s final symphony is a big, epic, all-encompassing masterpiece. His crowning glory bursts, builds and jumps from wandering wonder to mammoth crashes, finishing with the utterly core-rocking choral splendour of Ode to Joy that has the power to almost lift you out of your seat.
